Kakadu Plum (Terminalia Ferdinandiana) is a native tree from Australia and is found exclusively in the Northern Territory and around Arnhem Land. Indigenous Aboriginies have used this plant and its fruit extensively for food as well as for its healing properties and traditional medicine.
Tests on the Kakadu Plum have shown that it contains the world’s highest levels of vitamin C. In fact, it has as much as 10 times more Vitamin C when compared with other fruits. Vitamin C is good for skin as it benefits the skin by producing collagen.
It has traditionally been used by the Australian Aboriginese as an antiseptic and a soothing balm for aching limbs and feet.
